The Link Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
The Classic Movie Marathon is of course taking a break tonight as I have set aside a night to watch all of the latest new releases: The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, Red and The Disappearance of Alice Creed.
Anyway, I feel I must link my fellow bloggers and respect their amazing writings, and Tuesday seems to be the right day to do it, since Tuesday is known as my 'movie night'...since it's the day before all the new DVDs arrive and that's when I, the great Blockbuster employee I am, get the chance to watch them all for free. So every Tuesday, I'll link some people and title the post with whatever movie I am watching that night, replacing one word with the word 'link'. You get it? The Link Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest? Why yes, I am witty.
For your reading pleasure:
Hatter at The Dark of the Matinee is doing something different than going to watch the million blockbusters coming out this 'summer' (or freezing cold winter, as it would be here)...he is going to select some DVDs 'out of the locker' and give them a spin in a podcast. Can't wait to check it out.
Jack from Jack L. Film Reviews has counted down Vincent Cassel's top 5 performances. I find Cassel to be a very interesting man. Though he did kinda scare me in Black Swan.
Lesya at Eternity of Dream has returned from her short absence to review The Green Hornet. Which reminds me that I need to watch a 2011 film. It's April, for heavens sakes!
Anna from Defiant Success wondered who would be the perfect guy to play Cary Grant. As much as I do not like the Cloon, he'd be great for the job.
Black Dynamite was the movie of the month at the LAMB, and I participated in the LAMBcast to celebrate that fact. Take a listen, and while you're at it, start thinking about who you're going to vote for in the LAMMYS (*hint hint*).
My fellow New Zealand bloggers at The Hell Street Journal review Devil, an actual good M. Night Shyamalan movie.
And finally Fletch at Blog Cabins shared the 100 things he likes about movies. I ain't the only one who hates Nicolas Cage, who was in the slammer like MC Hammer last weekend.
Happy reading...and remember to check back tomorrow to read my thoughts on An American in Paris.
