This is like a freaking The Tree of Life moment. That bee just came to that flower at the right time and I felt like I witnessed the creation of Earth.
That's my dog, Indy, waiting on the veranda for my mother to get home. Now, I realise that he looks funny. When we got him, he was jet black. Then he started going white. At the moment, he's grey, but he has the whiter legs than I do. Such a strange young puppy.
And again. He just looks so happy here.
I know this seems like "bring a pet" day, but this is my cat Mumble (I have another one called Scooter - mother would kill me if I didn't mention her). Mumble's a moody teenager who likes to do stunts on the roof, sleep all day and party all night. I just really like this photo. It looks strange.
I took that photo while I was trying to take photos of the Perigree moon (which decided it would hide behind some clouds until well after I'd gone to bed. I love making light art with a slow shutter speed.
I actually took this while I watching Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. That should be a representation of how entertained I was by that movie.
Sunset photos at my Dad's house are seriously the best. Thank goodness for the Ruahine Ranges.
This is the last photo I took, at about 7.45am this morning. There was a bit of a frost, so everything looked white and pretty.
Anyway, as you were. What do you think of these photos? Are you a bit of a photographer yourself?
These photos are amazing. Literally, seeing them made my night. The sixth one is my favourite. I seem to be one of the only people that think a cloudy sky is much more fascinating to photograph than a clear one. If you ever take more photos like these, I'd love to see them.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love clouds, too. They're so fascinating. And I'll be sure to do that.
DeleteThese are amazing shots! That seventh one with the slow shutter speeds is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I particularly like that one. So pretty.
DeleteThe photos are pretty wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteDammm these photos are good!! i wish i was as skilled as you!! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I was as skilled as *you* Maxine Patricia Puhipuhi (you said you wanted your name here)
DeleteBeautiful pictures. I really like taking pictures, but never remember taking my camera anywhere.
ReplyDeleteHaha, same. My camera is quite big so I don't like to carry it around too much.
DeleteYou're dog is so cute! And that sunset... gosh, you've got quite the view.
ReplyDeleteHow do you make those light effects?
He is! And yes, the best thing about living in NZ is the scenery.
DeleteWith the light I just put my shutter speed on a really slow setting and pointed it at a street light, and just went crazy. You can do a lot with slow shutter speeds and lights!
I like those pics. They're pretty. The one with the dog and cat. Aw... I have a dog who is quite old and a cat that is pretty young.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Awwwwwww, cute! I love dogs and cats.
DeleteNice photos! I especially liked the slow shutter speed one. Those pictures are amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd no I'm not a photographer, but my sister is so I know a fair bit about it....
I could never be as good as your sister. Her pictures are amazing!
DeleteThese are fantastic! I love all the ones of the sky and your pets are lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your pics Stevee! keep them coming in a weekly series maybe? :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, maybe :)
